Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer it and maintain the related correspondence. We keep that material within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, servers may automatically receive basic technical information about the visit:

- The referring website, when one is supplied

- Pages viewed and approximate time spent

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Pike County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general access information for the Pike County Sheriff's Office, Pike courts, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency repository, and Alabama Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not turned into a consumer report or a third-party criminal-history file.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy policies govern information entered in those tools, including retention and sharing choices that we do not control. Read the applicable provider policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Pike County sheriff, Alabama courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search providers. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and tailor ads. We do not operate that tracking infrastructure.
